About the Role: Backend Software Developer (India | Fintech | Bonds)

We are looking for a strong Backend Software Developer who loves building clean, scalable systems that power real financial transactions. At BondScanner, you will work on the core engine behind India’s next-generation bond discovery, risk evaluation, and investing workflow.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex backend problems, designing secure financial architecture, and building high-performance APIs in a fast-moving fintech environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure backend services for our bond investing platform.

• Developing RESTful APIs, internal services, and microservices powering onboarding, KYC, order execution, and marketplace flows.

• Working closely with product, frontend, and data teams to deliver high-quality, high-availability systems.

• Ensuring system reliability, low latency, and security best practices across all backend components.

• Integrating third-party services including KYC, payment systems, brokers, and regulatory APIs.

• Writing clean, testable, and well-documented code with strong observability and monitoring.

• Optimising database queries and data models for performance and scalability.

• Owning backend features end-to-end from planning to production deployment.

What We Look For in You

• 2–4 years of backend development experience in a product-driven or fintech environment.

• Strong command over at least one backend language (Node.js, Go, Java, Python, etc.).

• Solid understanding of API architecture, microservices, authentication, and security fundamentals.

• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Experience with AWS/GCP/Azure or cloud-native development.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and design scalable architecture.

• Understanding of performance optimisation, caching, and distributed systems.

• Bonus: Experience in fintech, trading systems, risk engines, or high-compliance domains.

• A builder mindset curiosity, ownership, and a desire to work in a fast-paced early-stage environment.
