Product feature update: Sorting is now live within bond categories

Browsing within a category
BondScanner has categories that group bonds by type, such as AAA rated bonds, high yielding bonds, monthly payout bonds, and more. Categories make it easier to start your search with some context already applied.
But once you are inside a category, finding a specific bond still required scrolling through the full list in whatever default order it appeared. If you wanted the highest yielding bond in the category, or the one with the shortest tenure, there was no quick way to get there.
One user said it well: "I know what category I want but I still have to scroll through so many bonds to find the right one." That is the gap sorting addresses.
Sorting is now live within bond categories
You can now sort bonds within any category on BondScanner. Once you select a category from the homepage, a sort icon appears at the top of the listing. Tapping it lets you reorder the bonds according to the parameter that matters most to you.
This works across all bond categories available on the app. Whether you are browsing AAA rated bonds, government securities, or monthly payout bonds, the sort option is available within each one.
What you can sort by
There are four sorting parameters available:
Yield: reorders bonds from highest to lowest yield (or lowest to highest), so you can see where each bond sits on the return spectrum within that category
Tenure: sorts by the remaining time to maturity, useful when you want shorter or longer duration bonds within a category
Rating: organises bonds by credit rating, from highest rated to lower rated or the other way around, depending on what you are looking for
Minimum investment: sorts by the minimum amount required to invest, so you can see which bonds are accessible at your preferred investment size
You can apply one sort at a time. Changing the sort parameter instantly reorders the list within the same category without any additional navigation.
How to use sorting on BondScanner
Using sorting is straightforward:
Open the BondScanner app and go to the Explore tab
Select any category from the homepage, such as AAA rated, high yielding, or monthly payout
Once inside the category, tap the sort icon at the top of the bond list
Choose your preferred sort parameter: yield, tenure, rating, or minimum investment
The list reorders instantly based on your selection
Please make sure your app is updated to the latest version to access this feature.
Why these sort parameters matter
Each of the four sort parameters maps to a question investors commonly have when browsing bonds.
Yield gives you a clear view of the return range within a category. Tenure helps you match a bond to a time horizon you have in mind. Rating lets you see how credit quality is distributed across the category. Minimum investment tells you quickly which bonds are accessible given the amount you want to put in.
Together, these parameters reduce the time you spend scrolling and help you get to the bonds that match your specific criteria. The information is already there on each bond card. Sorting just puts the most relevant options at the top.
Update your app
Sorting within categories is available on the latest version of BondScanner. If you do not see the sort icon when you open a category, check the App Store or Google Play for an available update and install the latest version.
