Product feature update: Same day settlement

Introduction
Bond investing just got faster.
We’re excited to introduce T+0 settlement on BondScanner which means eligible bond investments can now be credited to your demat account on the same day, instead of the next business day.
It’s a meaningful upgrade to the post-investment experience, focused on speed, clarity, and smoother ownership.
Why settlement speed matters
When you invest in bonds, the journey doesn’t end at placing an order. The time between investing and seeing the bonds credited to your demat account plays an important role in confidence and clarity.
Traditional settlement cycles mean waiting until the next business day to see ownership reflected. While reliable, this delay can feel unnecessary especially in a world where payments and confirmations are increasingly real time.
Faster settlement removes that waiting period and makes the investing experience feel more immediate and transparent.
What t+0 settlement means
T+0 settlement simply means same-day settlement.
With this mechanism, eligible bond investments are credited to your demat account on the very day you place the order, instead of T+1 (the next business day). You get quicker ownership, faster visibility, and a more seamless transition from investing to holding.
The outcome stays the same only the timeline improves.
How t+0 works on BondScanner
T+0 settlement is currently available for select bond investments placed via UPI during market hours, within prescribed limits.
When an eligible investment is made, settlement happens on the same day, and the bonds are credited to your demat account without waiting for the next business cycle. The process is automatic there’s nothing additional you need to do.
As availability expands, more investors will benefit from faster settlement across a wider set of investments.
What doesn’t change
While settlement is faster, everything else remains exactly the same.
Bond terms, interest rates, payout schedules, are unchanged. This update is purely about improving speed and experience without altering the fundamentals of your investment.
You get the same bonds, under the same conditions, with less waiting.
A step toward seamless fixed-income investing
T+0 settlement is a step forward in making fixed-income investing feel as seamless as it should be.
As infrastructure evolves, we’re focused on bringing meaningful improvements that reduce friction while preserving the reliability bonds are known for. Faster settlement is one of those improvements small in appearance, but impactful in everyday use.
